AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH

Agricultural Research has become a key driver of sustainable development in Uganda.

Uganda's economy is largely dependent on agriculture, contributing over 25% of the country's GDP and employing over 70% of the population. Despite its significance, the sector faces several challenges, including low productivity, limited access to markets, and the effects of climate change. To address these challenges, agricultural research has become a key driver of sustainable development in Uganda. Through the development and dissemination of new technologies and innovations, researchers are helping farmers increase their yields, reduce post-harvest losses, and access new markets.

Agric-Care Uganda's focus in agricultural research in Uganda include improving the productivity of crops such as Cashew Nut, Soybean, Livestock and Poultry, promoting sustainable land use and management practices, and developing new technologies for irrigation and water management. Through collaboration with newwok of over 2000 farmers, extension workers, and other stakeholders, Agric-Care Uganda is playing a vital role in transforming the country's agricultural sector and contributing to the overall sustainable economic development of the country.

At Agric-Care Uganda, we appreciate that research is not just a process of gathering information, as is sometimes suggested. Rather, it is about answering unanswered questions to establish facts. we employ both qualitative and quantitative to establish evidence

EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH.

Experimental research is primarily concerned with cause and effect. we identify the variables of interest, and determine if changes in one variable (called the independent variable, or cause) result in changes in another (called the dependent variable, or effect).

DESCRIPTIVE RESEARCH

Descriptive or 'case-study research is research in which a specific situation is studied either to see if it gives rise to any general theories, or to see if existing general theories are borne out by the specific situation. Here we may test whether certain isolated ways of doing things have effect on efficiency or development of your Agribusiness

ACTION RESEARCH

While in experimental research, we expose similar groups to different treatments/training to see the effects of the treatments (so moving from cause to effect), in ex post facto research we look back at the effects and tries to deduce the causes from these effects. we determine the effect of training farmers/workers on farm profit

EXPOSITORY RESEARCH.

This is research based purely on existing your farm information, and normally results in 'review-type reports. By reading widely on a field, and then comparing, contrasting, analyzing and synthesizing all points of view on the farm business in which we often aim at developing important new insights to guide in profit optimization.
