Six layers of intelligence, read from the ground up.
IntelliFarmAI is an AI-powered decision-support platform that reads a farm the way an agronomist would β starting underground, in the soil β and carries that understanding all the way up to the market price a farmer sees on their phone.
Good farm decisions need good information β and most farmers never get it in time.
A smallholder farmer in Karamoja or Kigezi is expected to make dozens of high-stakes decisions a season β what to plant, how much fertilizer to use, when to spray, when to harvest, where to sell β often with no soil test, no localized weather forecast, and no agronomist within reach. The information usually exists somewhere: in a government dataset, a satellite archive, a research paper, a market bulletin. It's just never in the farmer's hands at the moment the decision has to be made.
IntelliFarmAI was built to close that gap. It brings agricultural science, satellite-derived soil data, machine-learning models, live weather, and market price feeds together into one mobile app, so a farmer with a smartphone and a data connection can get the same kind of grounded, specific guidance that used to require a lab technician, a extension officer, and a market trader all in one room.
It is built and maintained by Agric-Care Uganda Limited, and designed first for Uganda's ten agro-ecological zones β with the data foundation to extend further across East Africa.
67+ cropsStorage guidance and crop-specific recommendations across a broad range of staple, cash and horticultural crops.
30m resolutioniSDAsoil satellite mapping brings lab-grade soil property estimates to fields that have never seen a soil auger.
8-day outlookWeather intelligence timed to real farm decisions: planting, spraying, harvesting.
6 layersProduction, health, climate, post-harvest, markets and records β one connected stack, not six separate apps.
Getting started
From download to decision in four steps.
No lab visit and no separate hardware are required to get a first recommendation β the app is the instrument.
01
Set up your farm
Download the app, mark your field's location, and tell IntelliFarmAI what you grow or raise so recommendations are specific to your farm, not a generic average.
02
Read the soil and sky
Pull a satellite-derived soil profile for your exact plot and a 8-day weather outlook, so planting, fertilizing and spraying decisions are timed correctly.
03
Watch for trouble early
Photograph a crop leaf or an animal and get AI-assisted analysis on likely pests, disease or health issues, along with agrochemical safety guidance.
04
Store, sell and track
Use storage guidance and grain-quality scanning to protect the harvest, check regional prices before selling, and log the season in your digital farm record.
The stack, in detail
Six layers, each doing one job well.
Every layer can be used on its own, but they're built to hand information to each other β a soil reading informs a fertilizer plan, a weather alert informs a spraying decision, a harvest record informs a creditworthiness score.
π±
Layer 1
Soil & Crop Intelligence
Understand what's actually in your field before you decide what to plant or buy. This is the layer everything else is built on top of.
AI-assisted soil intelligence
iSDAsoil satellite-derived soil mapping
Crop recommendations matched to soil and zone
Fertilizer planning based on measured soil properties
A photo is often the fastest diagnostic tool a farmer has. This layer turns that photo into a first read on what's wrong and what's safe to do about it.
Crop pest and disease photo analysis
Animal health image analysis
Affected-area scanning
AI-assisted diagnostic guidance
Agrochemical safety information
Compliance alerts on documented restrictions
π¦οΈ
Layer 3
Weather & Climate Intelligence
Almost every farm loss traces back to bad timing. This layer exists to make sure planting, spraying and harvesting happen on the right day, not just a convenient one.
8-day weather forecasts
Climate risk alerts
Planting timing support
Spraying-condition guidance
Harvest planning support
Weather-aware farm decisions across the season
πΎ
Layer 4
Post-Harvest Intelligence
A lot of a harvest's value is lost after it leaves the field, in storage, not in it. This layer is about protecting what was already grown.
Storage tips for 67+ crops
Crop-specific storage guidance
Grain quality scanning
Grain grade and quality assessment
Post-harvest handling guidance
Loss-reduction decision support
π
Layer 5
Markets & Farm Business
Good production means little without a good sale. This layer connects what happened in the field to what it's actually worth.
Regional commodity market prices
Input records
Harvest records
Sales records
Farm profit calculations
Creditworthiness indicators

Layer 6
AI Agricultural Decision Support
This is the foundation layer, not a separate feature. It's the analysis engine that reads the other five layers and turns them into guidance a farmer can act on the same day.
Online AI-powered analysis
Photo-based agricultural analysis
Context-aware recommendations
Evidence-informed decision support
Continuously updated data services
Mobile-first farmer experience
Technology & evidence
What the recommendations are actually built on.
IntelliFarmAI is designed to combine several independent evidence sources rather than lean on any single dataset or model.
Institutional & scientific knowledge
Recommendations draw on institutional agricultural data and peer-reviewed tropical crop literature from recognised agricultural and scientific sources, rather than generic global averages that don't reflect Ugandan growing conditions.

Important: these are data and knowledge sources integrated or referenced by the platform. They should not be interpreted as formal partnerships or endorsements.
Soil intelligence engine
The soil layer combines iSDAsoil's 30-metre satellite-derived mapping and ensemble machine-learning approach with a proprietary on-device model trained on local soil samples, so a satellite estimate can be refined by what's actually measured on Ugandan farms.
Understanding accuracy: published iSDAsoil validation shows strong agreement with laboratory measurements for several important soil properties, while agreement varies by property. Satellite-derived estimates should be treated as decision-support information, not a universal replacement for laboratory testing.
Image-based AI analysis
The health, storage and grain-quality features run on computer-vision models trained to recognise visible symptoms and physical grain characteristics from a farmer's own photos β turning a phone camera into a basic diagnostic and grading tool in the field.
A tool, not a verdict: image-based results are decision-support outputs. They're designed to guide the next step, not to replace a qualified agronomist, veterinarian or laboratory when a situation calls for professional verification.
Why it matters
From fragmented information to one connected picture of the farm.
IntelliFarmAI is designed to support better decisions across the whole value chain β from preparing the soil, to managing production, to protecting crops and animals, to storing the harvest, to finding a fair price, to understanding the farm's finances.
Improve productivitySupport crop, soil and fertilizer decisions with agricultural data and AI-assisted recommendations, instead of guesswork or a generic input package.
Reduce avoidable lossesPut weather, climate, storage and health intelligence in front of the farmer at the moment the decision is actually being made, not after the fact.
Strengthen farm businessesBring prices, records, costs, sales and profit into one digital record a farmer can use to plan the next season β or show a lender.
Support climate resilienceHelp farmers understand shifting weather conditions and emerging climate-related production risks before they become losses.
IntelliFarmAI provides decision-support information. AI-generated assessments are not a substitute for qualified veterinary, agronomic, laboratory or regulatory advice where professional verification is required.
Who it's built for
Built for farmers β and useful to the organisations around them.
IntelliFarmAI can support individual farmers directly, and complement the programmes and institutions working alongside them.
